Early August 2017 – KMUZ NEWZ

On Hiatus

Willamette Wake Up’s “Legislative Matters” segment with Cindy Condon and Jan Margosian is on hiatus until the next legislative session. Listen for them early next year. This summer Willamette Wake Up will cover the 8 – 9am time slot with a full hour of Democracy Now!

Word Up celebrates, investigates, “revelates” and appreciates Pacific Northwest writers and readers.  Program host, Liz Cruz presents author interviews, reader raves, and confabulation of all things literary.  Join her for an intriguing exploration of real live reading and writing each second and fourth Sundays at 1pm.

Dark Matter is KMUZ’s newest metal genre and first to present the female perspective. Program host, Juliene Levy (aka ADJHD) describes her show as a local and tasteful guided tour of the less visible side of Metal, crossing cultures and sub-genres from grind-core to technical-metal. Join her Monday nights from 11 to midnight.

Starting Tuesday August 8 from 2 to 4pm, tune in to Tejano music with Dagoberto Rodriguez. Tejano music is popular folk music with origins from Mexican-American people of Central and Southern Texas. Dago will give it a local flair.
