The KMUZ Governing Board is pleased to present our new president, Bill Smaldone. Bill has been on the board for 6 years and has lived in Salem for 26 years. He is a professor of history at Willamette University, served as chair of his neighborhood association (SESNA) and as a member of Salem City Council in the early 1990s. He is also a member of the Salem Weekly editorial board.
His predecessor, Melanie Zermer, is a founding board member and served as president in 2015 and 2016. Melanie will remain on the board and plans to put more energy into public affairs programming.
Other continuing board members: Coy Alexander, Deanne Bass, Dave Hammock, Kerry Fox (secretary), Pam Kelly, and Verland Kelly (treasurer).

The board is pleased to announce, that KMUZ is financially solvent! While we don’t have a company helicopter or staff jacuzzi, we are going into this next year with the ability to pay our Jan & Feb bills. And it is because of support from listeners like you. Thank you for your continued support of this (still) all-volunteer community venture.
