Episode 6 — Salem in 1952
Show Notes
This week on Your Salem Through the Years, Jim and Virginia discuss Salem in 1952. It was a very important year — when a Presidential candidate came to town to campaign with the support of Oregon's governor, a Salem man. His support would be rewarded with a Cabinet appointment. Also in this year the ornate 1873 Marion County Courthouse was torn down, to be replaced by a shockingly modern replacement.
